Mozambique LNG Foundation and Cabo Delgado Provincial Government sign memorandum of understanding
The Mozambique LNG Foundation and the Cabo Delgado Provincial Executive Council have signed a Memorandum of Understanding that establishes a cooperative relationship to contribute to the socio-economic development of Cabo Delgado. This objective will be achieved through the cooperation, promotion, and implementation of several programs in Cabo Delgado aligned with Mozambique’s National Development Strategy.
The memorandum, which symbolizes a commitment by the Mozambique LNG Foundation to the development priorities of Cabo Delgado Province, was signed on March 4, 2025. The signing ceremony of the memorandum was attended by the Governor of Cabo Delgado Province, Valige Tauabo, and Maxime Rabilloud, President of the Executive Board of the Mozambique LNG Foundation.
The Governor of Cabo Delgado expressed his “appreciation and satisfaction to the Mozambique LNG Foundation for joining the Government’s efforts to improve the quality of life of our population. Therefore, I would like to acknowledge the important contribution of the Mozambique LNG Foundation once again for implementing projects aimed at benefiting the population of Cabo Delgado.”
In turn, Maxime Rabilloud stated that “the Mozambique LNG Foundation was created by the Mozambique LNG project and reflects our long-term commitment to investing in the well-being of communities not only around the project’s operations, but also in the socio-economic development of the entire Province of Cabo Delgado”.
“This Foundation has a broad mandate to work with all stakeholders who want to invest in the socio-economic area, aligned with the Government’s priorities.”
This Memorandum will have an initial duration of 3 years with the aim of defining investment actions in areas such as education, early childhood development and community health.
